H&M Home introduces diversity of materials

H&M Home has been a favourite of mine for affordable home decor and textiles and I was thrilled to hear that the product range is going to be extended with furniture pieces like small tables, shelves, stools and mirrors as well as light fixtures.

Some items have already hit selected stores across Europe and are available for purchase online. Sadly, the prices are not as budget friendly as I expected, but that is just my opinion. The designs, however, are quite appealing and feature a diversity of materials like powder-coated steel, marble as well as more natural looking ones such as wood and straw.

The colour palette

As expected, the collection has the Scandinavian design qualities of clean lines, minimalist shapes and colours. The monochromatic palette of dark and light natural tones mixed with metals is going to fit right in most homes.

H&M Home has definitely stepped up their game with this release and I can’t wait to see how they are going to expand and explore other furnishing options. I am glad to see retail chains getting into the home decor game, as for example ZARA Home has done before.

So far – great start!
